Sunday not so Funday

Still lacking my internet but I've lowered myself to stealing from someone else's. Guess I'll have to call Mediacom tomorrow and get some answers! :-/

Well nothing too exciting has gone on this weekend. Friday I got off work at 5 and met up with my friend Ali and tagged along as she got her hair done and then we went to Amigo's (Mexican restaurant) for dinner. Ali knows a lot of the waiters there because she went every Thursday for 2 months straight...so guess who got a free pitcher of margaritas! :) We're going back on Tuesday (not just for alcohol but they're having a fundraiser for Haiti). Saturday was me laying around all day kind of doing homework. Then Alicia and I went shopping for some of her party stuff!:) I gots myself a dress! Stopped by my aunt's to get a BP table and a cooler! It's going to be a good time, can't wait!

This week is going to be super busy so I spent all day homeworking!

Life Without Internet....

sucks. WELLLLLL for the past 30 hours (give or take) I have been without internet. I texted my sister saying that I felt like I was back in the 90's. I know there was internet then but I didn't use it so, therefore, it did not exist to me. Now usually if something like this would happen I would just force myself to do homework BUT all of my homework is online so I literally just sat around watching NCIS and Friends (not really that unusual).

ANYWAY! As you can tell from the previous paragraph you can tell that I haven't done much of anything entertaining. Just the usual work, class, then work again! I guess I really have nothing to blog about. A fact that makes me very saddened because that means my life is the opposite of interesting.

I DID however have a very intriguing conversation with a group of young children today. Venture a guess about what? If you guessed Harry Potter then you guessed correctly!! It was a good 20 min conversation about their fave books and movies and books vs movies. I loved every bit of it. I very much love my job and each day it makes me more confident that I'm picking the right career choice (not that I ever doubted it before).

So far this weekend isn't bringing much excitement. Tomorrow hanging out with Ali getting dinner and such. Catching up. Her life is much more exciting than mine (she does the whole Camp Adventure thing and just got back from Germany). :) Then Saturday hanging out with some of the girls up here. Not going out though...need to rest up for next weekend (Alicia's 21st!)

I decided since I really have nothing better to do (except homework...) why not blog? Thank you Janie for getting me started ;)

Honestly, this is something I have wanted to do but figured my life was too boring to make an interesting one but then I realized that since I'm very entertained by my life then maybe other people will be, too! HA.

Seeing as it's the Tuesday after a nice 3-day weekend I'll give you a short recap on mine. Friday night I got to go out with three of my girlies up here (Alicia, Erin, and Angela). We went to Alicia's friends birthday party. It was an 80's/Highlighter/black light party. It was awesome and I've now become obsessed with that kind of party. Saturday Alica and I got to go shopping with Jared in Iowa City! It was so nice to see him again. Stupid graduation tearing friends apart ;) then that night we ventured to 'loo to go to my friend Amanda's birthday party..it was pretty fun until someone vommed all over the door (that was my cue to leave!). Sunday brought my mom, sister, aunt, and little cousin Joey up to Cedar Falls (with my new phone!). It was nice to see them all again. Also, I love my new phone and it's going to be awhile before I can text fast on it. Monday consisted of my doing nothing. It was verrry nice!

Tuesdays and Thursdays have quickly become my favorite days because I have no classes! I still have work but I can easily nap in between them (I love naps). This morning schools got delayed two hours so I didn't even have to work in the morning. It was nice but I will miss that 2 1/2 hours on my pay check. I have a feeling this blog will consist of work stories. Working with kids give me lots of funny and adorable material. Like tonight when I was at work I helped a girl with her subtraction (we have books with pages already made up) and when she was all done she gave it to me. I wasn't going to accept it but it was Aladdin themed (if you know me at all you know I love Aladdin) so of course I had to!

Well, Cedar Falls is supposed to get hit with an ice storm tonight/tomorrow. So I'm hoping (as always) for a snow day. Lets all hope it does!
